How to disable Delayed ACKs in Windows

Delayed Acknowledgment is used to reduce the number of packets sent on the media. Instead of sending an acknowledgment for each TCP segment received, TCP will send an acknowledgment back only if one of the following conditions is true:

	1) No acknowledgment was sent for the previous segment received.
	2) A segment is received, but no other segment arrives within 200 milliseconds for that connection.

Typically, an acknowledgment is sent for every...

Quick info here, when installing the MEMkit on VMware, be aware that the default setting allow only 2 iscsi sessions for 1 volume. If 3 or 4 nics are used, then you might need to increase the default value of MEMkit to have the correct number of sessions.

In order to change this you need to use the following commands:

Customer can use the following command to change parameters:

esxcli equallogic param set –n=MemberSessions –v=4

After discussing the Storage Heartbeat configuration on VMware, I would like to give some clarifications as the informations about this are somewhat scarce

The Storage Heartbeat goal is not as its name says, it is not used for ESX to monitor if the server still has access to the storage and is still alive.

This is configured by default in VMware in the cluster settings. The Storage Heartbeat is here to avoid any routing issue between the server and the Equallogic arrays in case...
